BIOGRAPHY
If we can do it you can do it! For the 2011 RPM Challenge, we had no expectations other than to get the creative engine running and to see where it would take us. We figured if we had one gem we'd be stoked. It's safe to say that happened and then some. In the end the project yielded 8 tracks at a 36.4 minute run time. With little exception, we wrote 3 songs a week starting on February 2nd at 8pm. Last night (February 28th) we realized we were a little short and wrote the impromptu song "Empty Handed", and that was that. By week 4 we received an offer from our friend Nick Ward to utilize the studio at The Art Institute of Portland and at his home. An added bonus, his friend (and now ours!) Steve Waters offered to lay down some drums on his virtual kit. Nick and Steve added an element of production we wouldn't have had otherwise. We are grateful! With all of it's rushed lyrics, melodies, progressions, mixes, and vocals, Facenow's album "RPM2011" is perfectly imperfect!
